An organisation dedicated to tackling racial inequities in maternity services in the U.K. With equity & inclusion our top priority, we’ve created a space that promotes anti-racist practice, culturally safe and empowering maternity care.

In the U.K., global majority women & birthing people face stark disparities in outcomes compared to white women/birthing people, specifically in regards to maternal mortality, maternal and neonatal morbidity, miscarriage and baby loss.

At Nya Birth Collective we believe that real, significant change can not be achieved without true systemic change; from policy and guidelines, to specialist education, anti racist midwifery practice, sustainable projects and equitable, inclusive antenatal education.

Nya Birth Collective offers all of this and more.

Nya Birth Collective is a culturally rooted consultancy, founded & led by a mixed race specialist EDI midwife of Jamaican descent.
We are focused on improving racial disparities in maternity outcomes across the U.K. Through education, advocacy, and intentional collaboration, we aim to empower healthcare providers, support families, and drive real, sustainable change in maternity care.
Specialising in EDI midwifery strategy, anti-racism & cultural safety training development, clinical midwifery, and antenatal education, our work will bring transformative training, resources, and support to the forefront of maternity care.
